We at Lamfi are in the cap making equipment business since 1949, manufacturing lining, wadding automation for any kind of cap and closure.
Thanks to our wide range of solutions, we can meet any liner insertion requirement: using continuous strip, pre-cut liners, or both techniques simultaneously. Our machines handle all types of liners – round, tabbed, super-tab, ring, donut – from low to high operating speeds, ensuring high efficiency at every stage of the process.
Our advanced fully servo-assisted technology (All Servo Driven) allows precise real-time control of all devices within an EtherCAT-based architecture. This enables continuous monitoring of speed, position, and torque of each axis. Motors operate at maximum torque where required, with the possibility to set limits at specific cycle positions, ensuring immediate response to any load variation.
Our machines feature highly simplified mechanics:
- No speed reducers
- No indexers
- No safety clutch on the transfer plate
The crank-based architecture is retained, while the overall maintenance requirements are greatly reduced.
A distinctive feature of our machines is format interchangeability: with our quick-change kits, switching from one cap type to another is simple, fast, and safe.

Our tape-fed lining machines are available in single-head or multi-head versions, designed to meet different production needs. They offer speeds ranging from 6,000 to 72,000 pieces per hour and can handle closures with diameters from Ø20 mm to Ø120 mm. In addition, they can process any type of liner shape, ensuring maximum versatility and reliability.
